Early spring snow in the Smokies is beautifully majestic, especially if you are from Florida. Technically speaking, it was the last week of winter, but a few trees had already begun to bloom. Truthfully speaking, the first day of spring was only 3 or 4 days away. After a snowfall of 4 to 5 inches those snow covered blooms resembled snowball trees. The whole area was transformed into a winter wonderland. God never ceases to amaze me with His wondrous creations. There is just something about snow in the trees! Snow blanketing the ground brings a soft hush and peaceful silence. What an incredible gift this was to see! This photo gallery will attempt to capture that gorgeous snowfall in the Smokies. Enjoy!
Recap
This photo gallery of an early spring snow in the Smokies is exquisitely beautiful, especially to a Florida girl like me. We arrived to freshly fallen snow and gladly took advantage of every opportunity to capture the scenery. Not a single moment of the experience was wasted. The temperatures the following day would melt the snow quickly away. My children and grandchildren were able to experience snow for the first time. Priceless memories! Snow tubing, snowmen, snowball fights, and slip sliding around produced so much laughter. God blessed us with a trip that will be greatly remembered for a long time to come. If you ever get a chance to experience snow in the Smokies. Do it! It’s more than beautiful!
