I was knocked off my feet suddenly with the Delta variant of Covid 19. I was fine on Monday then overnight I began having chills, high fever, sinus congestion, and body aches. By Tuesday morning all I wanted to do was stay in bed totally miserable. After waiting hours at a clinic my rapid nasal swab test came back positive for Covid. I was advised to take some over the counter cold meds, a fever reducer, and to rest. I was blessed to be able to recover at home but it was not an easy task by any means. Praise God those in my family that contracted the Delta variant were able to stay home too and we all recovered. I would advise everyone to seriously consider obtaining all the items listed to help you be as comfortable as possible while recovering from Covid at home.

Summary
A few footnotes I’d like to share is that it is important to stay hydrated. I kept something to drink at my side at all times. While I lost my appetite I ate small meals to keep up my strength and take my medications. Zinc or Ibuprofen on an empty stomach will make you feel worse. Though I could not taste the grapes they were my number one snack along with Lays Stax chips . I still could taste salty things for some reason and the Stax container was easy to individualize and reclose. I took frequent naps. A warm compress or hot shower helped with my painful sinus headaches. Gargling with warm salt water also helped kill germs and soothe my throat. I did deep breathing exercises every time I thought to. The finger oxygen monitor showed my oxygen level increased as I did breathing exercises.
Coronavirus is a serious illness that deserves your attention in order not to spread it to immune compromised people. It could be deadly in their case. Quarantine yourself in a portion of your home until you are well. It is best to gather the items that you can to have on hand in the event that you do contract this contagious virus now. Do not hesitate to ask your primary doctor to prescribe the proper medications if your symptoms worsen. Prescribing them could keep you at home and out of the hospital. Keep a prayerful heart and a positive attitude and in time you will be blessed to recover. My Covid Comfort List is not all inclusive but a great start. Personalize it! Use it! Be blessed!
